Log into Wordpress

Step 1: Access the WordPress Login Page

1. Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).

2. Enter your WordPress login URL into the address bar. The URL is typically:

   • https://basalthosting.com/wp-admin
   • https://basalthosting.com/login

   Replace basalthosting.com with your actual domain name.

Step 2: Enter Your Login Credentials

1. On the WordPress login page, you’ll see fields for:
   • Username or Email Address: Enter the username or email associated with your WordPress account.
   • Password: Enter the password for your account.
2. Click the Log In button.

Step 3: Access the WordPress Dashboard

• Once logged in, you’ll be redirected to the WordPress dashboard. From here, you can:
  • Manage posts and pages.
  • Customize your website.
  • Access plugins and themes.

Log into cPanel

Step 1: Access the cPanel Login Page

1. Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).

2. Enter your website's cPanel URL into the address bar. The URL is usually one of the following:

   • https://cpanel.basalthosting.com

     Replace basalthosting.com with your actual domain name.

Step 2: Enter Your cPanel Credentials

1. On the cPanel login page, enter your Username and Password.
   • Username: Provided by BasaltHosting.
   • Password: Provided by BasaltHosting.
2. Click the Log in button.

Step 3: Access the cPanel Dashboard

Once logged in, you will be redirected to the cPanel dashboard, where you can manage your website, emails, files, and databases.

Log Into Webmail

Step 1: Access the Webmail Login Page

1. Open a web browser.

2. Enter your Webmail login URL into the address bar. The URL is:

   • https://webmail.basalthosting.com

   Replace basalthosting.com with your actual domain name.

Step 2: Enter Your Email Credentials

1. On the Webmail login page, enter your Email Address and Password.
   • Email Address: The full email address you want to access (e.g., info@yourdomain.com).
   • Password: The password for this email account.
2. Click the Log in button.

Step 3: Choose a Webmail Application

1. After logging in, you may be prompted with a Webmail application:
   • Roundcube.
2. Select your preferred application, and your inbox will load.
   
   
   

Troubleshooting

• Forgot Password:

  • Click the Lost your password? link on the login page.
  • Enter your username or email address and follow the instructions to reset your password.

• Login Page Not Found:

  • Check if the login URL has been customized by BasaltHosting or your site administrator.
  • Contact Basalt Hosting for assistance if needed.

• Incorrect Credentials:

  • Double-check your username and password.
  • Ensure CAPS LOCK is off when typing.

• Bookmark the cPanel and Webmail login pages for easier access in the future.
• If you forget your password, reset it via contacting us or your cPanel account.
• Ensure you use https:// to secure your connection.
